Painted en plein air in July 2016, “Canoe Garden” is a view of my veggie garden with my husband’s canoe in the background. The tomato plants were still low and only had a few green tomatoes at the time, but the marigolds were in full bloom and I loved the contrast of the red and green tones in the late afternoon light.
